A Castle level is the destination
A Castle upgrade can send you back through several other buildings. Those buildings may need upgrades of their own. Choose a target Castle level, enter your completed buildings and check the whole chain before committing resources.
The Castle planner includes intermediate levels and counts a shared prerequisite once. A building already at the required level adds no new upgrade cost.
Choose your faction building
The reference Castle requirements permit a faction-building alternative. Choose Tribe Forge, Legion Bastion or Ranger Retreat explicitly in the planner. The budget follows the selected branch instead of charging for every faction building.
Check each building level in the path. The planner starts with an example account until you enter your levels or load the progress you saved.
Read transitions correctly
A building reference row at current level L describes the upgrade from L to L+1. The cost on a current-level 29 row is therefore the upgrade to 30. Do not add the current-level 30 row as part of reaching level 30.
Placement from level 0 to 1 is not documented in the current reference set. If your plan needs an unplaced building, its total remains incomplete. Suspicious high-level placeholder records and orphan requirements stay excluded.
Apply your bonuses separately
Add your eligible resource reduction separately from base costs. For construction time, use the timer calculator with your effective speed, measured alliance help and usable speedups.
Save the future goal when you are ready to work toward it. Saving a goal never marks its prerequisites as completed.
Before you start the next Castle
Open the upgrade requirement and trace anything still red. A required building can send you through its own Castle gate or another building level. The price printed on the Castle is only the last transaction in that route.
Make a note of each building's finished level. If an upgrade is running, keep it in your working notes until it finishes. Counting it as complete can make the next stage look ready earlier than it is. Your planning budget and the actual order you can start work need to agree.
- Set your completed Castle and building levels.
- Choose the target Castle level and the faction-building alternative you will use.
- Inspect the first unfinished requirement and the whole resource bill.
- Apply eligible resource reductions to base costs.
- Check queue time with your construction speed and usable speedups.
Pick a stopping point you can use
A useful stop solves something: a hero cap, a Barracks gate or access to the next research requirement. If the destination is too expensive, use the expanded chain to choose an earlier stop. You still make progress without leaving several unrelated buildings half-funded.
Compare the extra bill from where you are now. A full level-one-to-thirty total is a reference benchmark, not your remaining cost. Likewise, owning a high Castle does not mean every other building has followed it.
Why a resource budget is not a finish date
The plan lists work, but it doesn't create resources or a second builder. A long prerequisite can hold the whole route up. Before a period offline, start a useful long job; while you are active, fit in short requirements you can check promptly.
Use speedups after you understand the gate they clear. Finishing an optional building early has little value if the next required building still lacks coins. Check whether the event scores completion, power gained or speedups used before timing a finish around it.
The reference supports planning through Castle 30. Higher source placeholders and undocumented placement costs are not treated as real, free upgrades.
Before you commit
- Confirm completed levels, including the chosen faction building.
- Read every unfinished prerequisite.
- Check coins as well as food and wood.
- Keep research medals outside a general resource discount.
- Save the target without completing it.
Common questions
Does a level 29 cost row mean reaching Castle 29?
The building table uses current-level rows. A current-level 29 row pays for 29 → 30. The level 30 row is not part of reaching 30.
Why does the planner show an incomplete budget?
A required transition may lack a supported price, especially placement from 0 → 1. The known subtotal remains useful, but it is not the complete bill.
