Early sessions: follow the next useful gate
Use the opening tasks to learn construction and research, then make the next Castle requirement your direction. Check the actual requirement before upgrading optional production or decorative buildings. Keep enough food, wood and coins for the required branch.
Choose long useful work before a long offline period. While you are active, clear short prerequisites so the next longer job is ready. This is a sequence of decisions, not a promise that every account reaches a set Castle level on a set day.
Build one main formation before spreading EXP
Choose heroes you own and can develop. Two front positions need to survive long enough for the rear heroes to use their skills. Keep EXP, shards and equipment focused on a usable main formation before developing every spare portrait.
Castle levels raise the hero level cap. The standard curve uses five substeps per star, and UR skill caps also depend on stars. When progress stalls, identify the gate rather than buying more of the wrong material.
Castle 11 changes event preparation
The recorded Alliance Duel entry rules start at Castle 11, with alliance size and matching requirements too. Check whether your alliance is qualified, then learn the six themes before spending a reserve.
Save for a reason. A hero shard you plan to use can fit Hero Development; needed research can fit Tech Research. Do not let an event push you into upgrading an unused hero or a technology unrelated to your next gate.
The end-of-week review
Review actual play: can the main formation survive your usual fights, do useful queues stay active, and which resource repeatedly blocks them? Put the next expensive upgrade behind a clear answer.
If you lose because the front falls, compare survival skills and defensive equipment before adding another rear hero. If you survive but cannot finish, inspect relevant damage. If every queue waits on coins, protect the next required coin bill before optional purchases.
Keep a short weekly review
Ask what helped you play more comfortably. Did the squad survive longer? Did a queue stop sitting idle? Did you reach a reward without buying unrelated items? Keep the habit that worked and change one thing that did not.
Do not use a later server's hero pool or seasonal routine as your week-one checklist. Available features are the ones your kingdom has opened. Long-term guides should help you recognize what comes next, not tell you to spend for something missing from your client.
Before you commit
- One Castle direction chosen.
- Main formation has survival and damage roles.
- Alliance entry and event timing checked.
- The repeated resource shortage identified.
- No fixed first-week level treated as a requirement.
Common questions
Should I save every speedup in week one?
No single rule fits every account. Use a speedup when it clears a useful gate or fits a qualifying event you already intend to complete. Keep a reserve instead of spending just because an item is available.
