Hero recruitment: ticket pools and when to spend

Match the ticket, ordinary pool and kingdom stage before budgeting a target hero.

The short answer

Check the probability panel for the exact ticket you will use. A visible hero is not automatically in that pool. Save for a reason you can name, such as a future eligible hero or a useful scoring window, without promising a pull count the rules cannot support.

Where to check a ticket’s actual rewards

Open the Tavern recruitment screen and its information or probability button. Match the ticket in your inventory to the pool being shown. Ordinary Hero Recruitment Tickets, special tickets and guaranteed rewards can use different pools.

Look for the named hero and reward type. A hero portrait in Kingdom Chronicles is not proof that an ordinary ticket can recruit that hero today.

The opening ordinary-ticket pool

This versioned ordinary-ticket table covers the opening kingdom progression only. Each row names the heroes added at that point. Your current Tavern information panel confirms the live pool; guarantees and special tickets have separate rules.

Reasons to draw now or wait

Drawing now can make sense when the current pool contains a hero you can use and the draws fit a useful scoring window. Waiting can make sense when the target is not yet eligible, or when the current formation works and you prefer the upcoming pool.

A wider pool can also spread the ordinary chance across more heroes. Waiting is not automatically an improvement to the probability of one specific hero. Check that hero’s own displayed rate after the pool changes.

Recruitment is only the first cost of a replacement

Keep EXP, specific or matching universal shards, and skill medals ready for the hero you hope to use. A newly recruited portrait is not the same as a developed replacement.

Rounded ordinary percentages and incomplete guarantee rules cannot support a promised number of copies. A stated guaranteed rarity is also different from a guaranteed named hero. Read the current guarantee before relying on it.

Keep the account usable while waiting

A future pool can be worth waiting for, but don't treat indefinite saving as a strategy by itself. Ask whether the current squad can handle the content you want to play and whether the event reward justifies drawing now.

Recruiting, starring and leveling are separate bills. Even after the hero appears, you still need the resources for a usable replacement. Reserve those rather than spending every flexible item merely to open the portrait.

Before you commit

  • Correct ticket and pool selected.
  • Target appears in the current probability panel.
  • Ordinary odds and guarantees kept separate.
  • Draw budget affordable.
  • Post-recruitment upgrade reserve considered.

Common questions

Does a 10-draw always guarantee my target UR?

Do not assume that. A guaranteed rarity, a specific hero and an ordinary pull are different outcomes. Check the exact guarantee for your ticket and current pool.
